Five charming villages that are part of the Cinque Terre National Park and are included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Countless trails connect the five villages and surrounding areas, offering visitors the chance to enjoy unspoiled nature and their rare beauty.
It is the largest village of the Cinque Terre and is divided in two by the old railway tunnel. On one side is the new village with its beach, overlooked by the Giant’s Rock, and on the other side is the historic village with its characteristic ‘carrugi’ (narrow alleys).
Probably the most romantic of the Cinque Terre, with its unique landscape of cliffs plunging into the sea and dry-stone walls that enhance its beauty. The town is crossed by steep lanes that lead down to the small harbor. Vernazza is considered one of the most beautiful Ligurian villages in Italy.
It stands on a rocky promontory about 100 meters high, and to reach it you need to climb ‘La Lardarina’, a staircase of around 400 steps, offering breathtaking views and vineyards along the way.
The village is a series of ups and downs, with narrow, steep lanes leading to the seaside square. Definitely not to be missed is the experience of enjoying an aperitif suspended between sky and sea. The village is also famous for its illuminated nativity scene, which is the largest in the world.
An example of the famous beauty of the Cinque Terre and their natural environment, dominated by Mediterranean vegetation. From here starts the renowned ‘Via dell’Amore’, which connects Riomaggiore to Manarola. The views and scenic spots along the way are not to be missed.
It is located at the southern tip of a peninsula, which, jutting out from the rugged coastline of the eastern Ligurian Riviera, forms the western shore of the Gulf of La Spezia, also known as the ‘Gulf of Poets'. At the end of this peninsula are three small islands: Palmaria, Tino, and Tinetto. The Church of San Pietro, perched dramatically above the sea, is particularly famous.
A very famous seaside village where the colors of the houses are reflected in the crystal-clear waters. A pastel-colored fishing village built around a bay and surrounded by lush vegetation and the promontory. A small gem waiting to be discovered.
